Using a rich collection of archival material & interviews, Harris Smart, one of Subud's most experienced producers and, has produced this movie in three parts of around 80 minutes each.  It provides an inspiring and moving perspective of Bapak's life and the development of Subud, and in doing so offers a fitting tribute to mark the 100^th Anniversary of the birth of the man that was God's messenger to bring the latihan of Subud to mankind.

Part 1: 1901-1957
Incorporates priceless archival footage of Bapak from the 1950's. Animation in the style of shadow puppetry is used to illustrate Bapak's experiences, such as first receiving the latihan, the ascension etc. Interviews with Ibu Rahayu, Sharif Horthy, Tuti, Husein Rofé and others.

Part 2: 1957-1971
Follows the development of Subud up to 1971 and includes wonderful footage of Bapak's travels, the development of Wisma Subud and the 1971 Congress.  

Part 3: 1971-2001
Covers the trials and tribulations of the major projects, the development of Susila Dharma and many other aspects of Subud.  Incorporating Anniversary Celebrations and the Bali Congress.

This 60-minute video has been compiled from the three programs which made up the series Bapak: The Man and his Mission. Produced by Harris Smart, it tells the story of Bapak's life and the history of Subud from Bapak's birth in 1901 up to the Centenary celebrations in 2001 in archival film and photographs. In concise form it gives the complete sweep of the history of Subud.

In this 50 minute video, Rahman Connelly and Bradford Temple talk about the reasons for their success. Bradford describes how developments in the Wollongong Subud group going back to 1968 provided a foundation on which the Connelly Temple Enterprise was able to grow. 

Rahman continues the story by identifying specific reasons for success. He also talks about the way CT provided a capital base of both money and experience for participation in pioneering efforts to bring into reality Bapak's vision for Kalimantan at Rungan Sari and in mineral exploration.

A Life in Subud is a new book from Raymond van Sommers. It is an intimate memoir of many of the most important moments in the development of Subud. The memoir records spiritual experiences of great interest, and is illustrated with 120 photographs most of which have never been published before.
